"Mini Cheesecake and Raspberries" Oil on 6x6 inch hardboard

The hardboard panel I used here is a Jack Richeson Toned gessoes panel.  It comes already gessoed and toned in a medium umber color, or a gray.   Very nice to paint on, the only thing I didn't like was the edges are beveled for some reason??  I guess it will fit in a frame since it measures 6x6 x1/8 inches... I wonder why the bevel though?
