Still practicing. I like this painting, although the background looked better when it was a light yellow-before I added the raw umber over it to darken. It is a painting of an orchid. I'm not sure what the proper name of this flower is, I had taken a picture of it at a flower show a few years ago. It is done on a 5x7 peice of coldpress watercolor paper. ( I took this picture while outside and accidentally cast a shadow on the lower left corner -oops)Sunday, April 13, 2008
