"Fruit on a Plate"
Oil on 5"x7" board
Note to self: Draw!! Draw!! Draw!! before painting! Things always go smoother, and come out better! Why don't I take the time to draw before each painting?? Because most of the time I'm too impatient, and want to make a painting, rather than enjoy the process first, and then get a good painting from it.

This one's a real beauty Deb!
ReplyDeleteSo life-like Debbie. I do believe those are the best cherries I have ever seen painted. Is this from a reference photo or the real thing?
ReplyDeleteThank you Mona! and Carol, yes this is painted from life :)
ReplyDeleteThis painting is marvellous, it immediately caught my eye, and the fact it was done by life gets me still more admirative...
ReplyDeleteOh boy! Now this just looks yummy!! Wanting cantaloupe and cherries...now!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, and those cherries are especially nice- I like your brushstrokes in the close-up. Also great assortment of reds!
