"Hello Autumn" Oil on 5x7 inch board

I finished this painting just as the first day of autumn came.. so I named it "Hello Autumn".

The pumpkin, grapes and apple all came from a farm market near where I live.

I started on a toned panel, with a light sketch using thin raw umber paint....

I added thin washes of color, a little at a time, using thicker paint for highlights.
