Caravaggio


Oil on 11"x14" Canvas
I did this painting for the most recent "Following the Masters" painting challenge. The theme is the Italian Renaissance. This is an angel who appears in one of Caravaggio's paintings, called " Rest on the Flight to Egypt". I just loved the angel's pose.

    I've never seen this Caravaggio, Debbie. So beautiful! You've done a fantastic job. The skin tones and legs in that subtle shadow are superb. Wow!

    Hi Debbie; just followed you here from the FtM challenge. (I could swear it said Dana Cooper under this painting and I couldn't figure out why she hadn't posted it! LOL) Just scanning through your paintings and I am awed by your abilities. Each painting is gorgeous!! Consider me a new fan!
