"Autumn Colors"

Oil on 5x7 hardboard panel

The colors in these fruits remind me of the same colors in the trees right now. I picked up the leaf while out for a walk. It really caught my eye, bright scarlet red with yellow and green running through the veins.
Hope everyone had a nice Halloween! It was cold and rainy here.. so cold that the rain changed over to wet snow!!! I had lots of cold and wet trick or treaters at the door :-)

"Still Life with Milk Glass Cup"

Oil on 8x6 hardboard panel

These objects don't have much in common, I just liked the colors together. I really like how it came out. Something about the yellow, red and green around the white just makes me happy.

Delft with Fruit

Oil on 5"x7" hardboard panel

I did this painting a few days ago, but wasn't able to get a good picture of it at the time, and sort of forgot about it until today. These are my little Delft salt and pepper shakers again, with (of course) some fruit. :-D
Thank you for your comments! They are very appreciated ! :-)

Lemon Strawberry Still Life

Oil on 5x5 hardboard panel

I did this painting using the same set up that I used for the previous "Apple, Grapes, Lemon, Strawberries" painting. So, it might look a bit familiar. I just took out the apple, and added a few grapes.

"House of Cards"

Oil on 5x7 hardboard panel
I thought I'd do one more "cards" painting. This is painted from a reference photo I had taken a couple of weeks ago. This time, I printed the picture out, transferred the drawing to the panel, and painted it in just like coloring in a coloring book. Nice on a rainy day. It was so relaxing, and pleasant to do, I loved it. I wish they could all go that way.

"Apple, Grapes, Lemon and Strawberries"

Oil on 8x6 hardboard

It took me a couple of days to finish this one, because I kept thinking it needed a little something extra. I finally added the single grape on the left, and then it seemed to need something on the right, so I put in another strawberry :-) Looking back, I probably could have just left it alone and it would have been fine. But, I like the way it ended up.

Delft Salt and Pepper Shakers with Fruit

Oil on 8x6 hardboard panel

I've been wanting to paint these little blue and white china salt and pepper shakers. I like their color and the soft ripple they have in their shape. I thought their strong blue color would look nice along with something yellow and something red. I'm really happy with how this came out, because lately I have been trying out a more detailed and smooth way of painting, which is very nice, but, not quite "me". I can see in this, a return to how I naturally paint. And I like it much better. It's me :-)
Thank you to everyone, for your wonderful comments, I appreciate them so much!
