"Garden Angel" Oil on 8x10 inch Linen Panel

Available on etsy
I've been feeling a little cramped painting on the smaller panels lately, so I thought I'd spread out a bit, and pulled out an 8x10 inch panel to paint on.  I've had this angel for a few years, and I've always thought of painting it, so finally I gave it a try.  The flowers from my garden are some hydrangeas, bachelor buttons, and the deep pink one in front is a cosmo.

  1. Hi Debbie,
Your painting of the angel and flowers is wonderful! Is this an oil or acrylic painting? I love painting too-come have a visit to my blogsite sometime!

  2. beautiful ....... the shadows are great too.

  3. What an amazing job painting this alabaster piece! Love the addition of color too. Beautiful painting.

  4. Really beautiful. I love the addition of the flowers to the little angel figure.

  5. I like the way you arranged the flowers on and around the statue. The whole composition is really nice.

I started painting larger this year, and now I revisit my 6x6 canvases for a change now and then, but even an 8x10 can feel small! Looking forward to seeing you "stretch out" too!
