"Garden Angel" Oil on 8x10 inch Linen Panel

Available on etsy
I've been feeling a little cramped painting on the smaller panels lately, so I thought I'd spread out a bit, and pulled out an 8x10 inch panel to paint on.  I've had this angel for a few years, and I've always thought of painting it, so finally I gave it a try.  The flowers from my garden are some hydrangeas, bachelor buttons, and the deep pink one in front is a cosmo.

  1. Hi Debbie,
Your painting of the angel and flowers is wonderful! Is this an oil or acrylic painting? I love painting too-come have a visit to my blogsite sometime!

  5. I like the way you arranged the flowers on and around the statue. The whole composition is really nice.

I started painting larger this year, and now I revisit my 6x6 canvases for a change now and then, but even an 8x10 can feel small! Looking forward to seeing you "stretch out" too!
