These bosc pears have an elegant shape that attracted me to paint them. But, I thought the color might be kind of boring to paint, but, not at all.. it's really a very nice warm golden brown.
Elegant indeed. Your color skills are so darn good. (I painted this week after a long break, and color mixing was hard!) You found subtle reflected light in the shadow areas, and it is beautifully done.
Dear Debbie, I was the fortunate one who won the auction on this painting. Often the reproduction looks better than the original. But when this painting arrived in the mail, I was pleased to find it was even more beautiful in person. Absolutely gorgeous! Lovely color, masterly technique...perfect. I will treasure it and look forward to bidding on some more of your masterpieces.
