"Quiet" Oil on 8x10 inch canvas panel
My interest in drawing has been pretty strong lately. During my visit to the Art Store, I bought myself some conte pencils, and a set of conte pastel pencils. Plus, some toned papers to draw on. I set up this little still life to draw from, and I after I drew it, I thought it might make a nice painting. I had recieved quite a few 8x10 canvases and canvas panels for Christmas, so I used one for this painting. It's nice for a change to paint on a larger surface. I named it "Quiet" because every time I look at it, that's what it makes me think of.. a quiet and peaceful moment.

Beautiful work, as always, Debbie! :o)
ReplyDeleteIts a beautiful painting and drawing Debbie! I like the addition of the vase and the paint brush in the painting.
ReplyDeleteHey, Debbie - it's cool to see a drawing. I have been avoiding drawing - even sketchbooks because of limited studio time for the past few years, but this post really shows the important link between the two- drawing and painting. ANyway, happy new year - looking forward to seeing all your new work in 2012! - Sarah
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry, Brad and Sarah!!
