Purple Iris

I love botanical drawings and paintings. I don't think I'll ever become an expert at it, but I just can't resist when flowers are blooming in the garden.  I used pencil, watercolor and some colored pencil for this iris. 
(not that it matters a whole lot, but I just discovered after I took the picture, I had signed it with tomorrow's date... Oh well..)  I"m sure I'll be doing more of these as more of my flowers come into bloom.
