This is a view of the Lake Ontario shore, from Charlotte Beach near my home. It was a cold windy day, and there were not many people out, but it was a great day to fly a kite. I had a hard time painting this picture, even though there doesn't seem to be much in it. It was a good lesson in color mixing for me.
Beautiful idea to show the expanse of the blue sky next to the tiny kite.
ReplyDeleteI think you really captured what cold on the beach feels like! The figures are bundled up, and the sand is cool-colored. You've shown a cold wind on the surf , and I love the expanse of sky with just that bright patch of color in the kite. Really great painting.
