"Christmas Bulbs with Cup"
Oil on 6x6 in. Ampersand Gessobord
I wanted to try these glass bulbs again, they are just so pretty. This will be the last time, I've hung them on the tree now. The tea cup has a sort of pearly iridescent glaze on the inside that was interesting to try and paint, and I just hinted at the gold design around the outside.
It has been snowing here for days, and just today it stopped for a little while, and the sun came out! What a nice break. One good thing about the snow, when the sun comes out, and reflects off of it, alot more light comes in the windows, it's great light to paint in while it lasts!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Another of your amazing pieces of art!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful job on that cup. The light hitting the front of the cup picks out the cold there. Well done!
