Orange and Cranberries
Oil on 5x7 Ampersand Gessobord
I wanted to try to keep this simple. I didn't want to overwork it, or put in too much detail. I like the loose edges of the orange. I wondered if the leaves should stand out a little more from the background, but they looked this dark, so I painted them this dark and decided not to think too much about it.

Love those leaves, they are so hard to do but you've done them well.
ReplyDeleteThis orange is fabulous- love the soft edges. I think the leaves look great. And the little cranberries just like they rolled right there- sweet highlights on them.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting, Debbie! Love the soft edge on the orange and back leaf. The highlight on the the dominant leaf are great! And the red cranberries add just the right touch of red. Very nice!
