"Seashells and Pearl"
Oil on 8x6 hardboard panel
I love seashells, they remind me of the beach and of summer. It amazes me how perfect their shapes are. I wonder how they are formed, and what their former life was like under the sea.
I'm still playing with my background colored boards I made. This time I used a warm nuetral color behind, and a very dark charcoal gray underneath.

Absolutely stunning, Debbie.
ReplyDeleteI always wonder how shells are formed as well. These are lovely, Debbie. Love that dark gray ground.
ReplyDeleteGreat modeling on those difficult shells; that pearl is a genius touch, and perfectly placed!
ReplyDeleteAmazing piece Debbie!!
